New Year 2023! “Breaking the rut”

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a happy and healthy holiday

season!


Every year at this time we see an increase in the need to set elaborate goals or this “is really going to be my year to…….” I personally do not believe in setting hard fast goals because a goal without a plan is a wish. Instead I list out things I want to work on, which in turn will help get my closer to the direction


I want to go. I say direction because there is no end for anything, whether it’s improvement of health, financial situation or anything else we do

in life.

The end of this year came really quick and I also found myself stuck in the rut which I have been in majority of the year. I’ve worked out like I always do but I find myself lacking effort, more going through the motions. I’m eating well but have no real drive to put much effort into anything new. I’m lacking my excitement to create new recipes and that same creative motivation at work. So my “goal” this year is to “break the rut.”

So instead of goals I will share my list of items I am working on. My goal in sharing is for others to recognize that no matter what you do, what you want to do and even what you love that we all fall into just going through the motions, which doesn’t help really move us in the direction we want, we don’t fall backwards but we get stale. So I’m cleaning off the mold and starting fresh!


This years intentions:

  1. Get back to putting more oomph and effort into my workouts

  2. Get back my enjoyment in creating new recipes and content

  3. Start taking time to actually relax
